Since I just read Little Women recently, I am going to put that in as my choice for the Classic of the month π
I think I will put in Equal Rites by Terry Pratchett here since I read this recently this year and absolutely loved it!
Oh, absolutely has to be the Harry Potter series!! I cannot have enough of it and it always fills me with so much nostalgia! π
Hmm, I think this is a hard one. I can’t think of a sugary sweet sort of character from the books I’ve read recently. Most of the stories I’ve read have nice or feisty or brave characters. I think I’ll say Lenina Crowne from Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World, not because she is nice kind of sweet but because she is literaly sweet and sugary in a very annoying sort of way which works for the storyline.
The winner for this one will be the dystopian novel I read this year, Leila by Prayaag Akbar. An amazing yet absolutely bleak story that leaves you with the blues and lots of questions.
For me, this will be the new genre I tried recently – Manga! I read the first two books of the popular Manga series – Deathnote and absolutely loved them! Will be adding the rest of the books to my collection soon π
Since I have already put in Harry Potter and still in progress of trying to finish many other series that I’ve started, I’ll put in my beloved Hunger Games as the answer to this question. I stuck to the series because I really enjoyed the series and not because of anything else π
I think the answer to this is going to be a common one across book lovers! I absolutely cannot do without my bookmarks! And I’ll always have a pen and a notebook or my phone to write down sentences or scenes that stuck with me or inspired me from the book.
