Blogger Recognition Award

I’m so sorry first of all, Tammy for saying thanks this late, but Thank you so much for nominating my blog for this award!! This made me so happy and just feels like I might be doing something right, for a change 🙂

How my Blog began:

I actually have been blogging since a very long time now. But when I started on a different platform, BlogSpot, I wasn’t aware of how to popularise a blog, and I mostly used it as a personal online journal and a travelogue. Then I stopped blogging for about a  year or two, because I didn’t travel as much and there wasn’t much to write about. Finally, I moved platforms to WordPress about two years back and re-created my blog to capture anything interesting happening in my life. Places I’ve traveled to, experiences of motherhood, books I’m reading or have read, challenges that I’m working on, or just random thoughts on life.

So in a nutshell, I started blogging for myself, and am still predominantly using this platform as a self journal. But now, it has expanded to include a small community of old and new readers, some who have also become friends, to share my life with. I love it! 🙂

Two pieces of advice for fellow bloggers:

Well, I haven’t broken through this platform either and still consider myself to be a newbie. But here are my words of wisdom 😉

• Control your blog, don’t let the blog control you
• Write about things that matter to you
